Vakaro tema- Karnavalas

Kviečiama visus pasipuošti naujametiniam karnavalui kostiumais, kaukėmis (neprivaloma tiems, kurie nenori). Vakaro vedėjas Rolandas Dabrukas, aktorius ir menininkas iš LA.

Suneštinės vaišės
 
Prašome, atsineškite pagrindinį patiekalą ir desertą. Pagal Kūčių tradicijas patiekalai turėtų būti paruošti be mėsos. Tinka žuvis, kruopos, vaisiai, daržovės. Kava ir arbata bus pateikti.
Jei pageidaujate, atsineškite savo vyną, alų.

Kalėdinė programa

Tradiciškai lankysis Kalėdų Senelis su dovanelėmis. Prašome paruošti savo vaikučiams nedidelę dovanėlę ir ją atsinešti į renginį. Vaikučiai gali pasiruošti atlikti kokį nors trumpą pasirodymą (eilėraštis, dainelė, šokis ar pan.).

Mamytės ir Tėveliai: Norėtume, kad visi vaikučiai gautų maždaug vienodo dydžio ir vertės dovanėles. Tad prašome, jog dovanėlė neviršytų $20 vertės ir būtų tokio dydžio, jog lengvai tilptų į rudą popierinį pietų maišelį (“brown bag”). Paruoškite po dovanėlę kiekvienam vaikučiui. Ant dovanėlės aiškiai užrašykite savo vaiko vardą. Atvykę į renginį, palikite dovanėlę(-es) ant priėmimo stalo; dovanėlės bus sudėtos į Kalėdų Senelio maišą.

Įėjimas: $20 suaugusiems / $5 vaikams/studentams / $50 šeimai.

Papildomas Renginys

Rolandas Dabrukas iš LA lituanistinės mokyklos mokiniams praves Čiurlionio teminę pamoką. Tėvai taip pat gali prisijungti. Gruodžio 6 d. 9:30-11:30 ryte latvių centre. Prašome užsiregistruoti iki gruodžio 2 d. Dalyvavimas pamokoje nemokamas.

 Christmas Celebration

This year the theme of the evening- Carnival. Please come dressed in costumes or wear a mask (not required). Rolandas Dabrukas, an artist from LA, will be the MC.

Community Potluck

 
Please, bring a main dish and dessert. Remember Christmas Eve traditions dictate no meat; fish, grains, fruit and vegetable are OK. Coffee and tea will be provided. BYO wine or/and beer. No community bar.

 Traditionally, Santa Claus will also hand out the gifts to the children. Parents, please prepare and bring a small gift which Santa could hand to your child(ren). Kids can prepare to show their talent (poem, song, dance, instrument, etc.).

Parents:  We want all the children to receive a gift that is more or less of similar value and size as everyone else’s. Therefore we ask that the gift does not exceed $20 in value and is no larger than something that could fit into a brown lunch bag. Write your child’s name on the bag clearly. Leave your child’s gift at the reception table to be placed in Santa’s bag.

Entrance:  $20 per adult  / $5 per child/student / $50 per family

Sliding scale tickets available upon request (please email in advance giedre077@gmail.com). We would like everyone to be able to attend regardless of the ability to pay the full price.

Additional Event

An artist from LA Rolandas Dabrukas will facilitate a hands on lesson for the Portland Lithuanian school students about Čiurlionis, a famous Lithuanian composer and artist. Parents are also welcome. December 6th 9:30-11:30 am. Please register by December 2nd. There is no charge for the participation in this lesson.
